Since the outbreak of this global health crisis, Cuba has been instrumental in ensuring that the disease is defeated and good health restored. This act in a way goes to reaffirm Cuba’s long-lasting commitment to humanitarian solidarity with other countries; especially in the medical field.  This move has also helped to revitalize Cuba’s medical strength.
They have so far deployed medical teams to more than 19 countries including Italy, Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Haiti, Suriname, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Andorra, Togo, St. Thomas and Prince, Angola, Qatar and now South Africa.
