Alcohol may increase ones chances of contracting the coronavirus; WHO warns

According to the W.H.O., drinking alcohol may increase chances of catching the deadly coronavirus, especially when abused.

This is because excess alcohol consumption can cause “health vulnerability, risk-taking behaviors, mental health issues and violence” hence putting people at a higher risk of getting infected.

“Stay sober so that you can remain vigilant, act quickly and make decisions with a clear head, for yourself and others in your family and community” said Carina Ferreira in a tweet.

Meanwhile, bars, restaurants and other leisure places can now operate till after 6PM in Cameroon following the address of the Prime Minister.

Churches and mosques are yet to receive directives on whether they can start operating normally. Also, school resumption has been scheduled for June 1st.

WHO also mentioned that 5G does not transmit the coronavirus and further said taking hot baths does not prevent you from contracting the coronavirus.
