Rwanda develops ventilators to aid in the treatment of coronavirus patients with respiratory difficulties.

Rwanda is currently testing locally made ventilator to be used in the treatment of severe coronavirus patients with difficulties to breathe. This was developed by a team of engineers at the Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC).

 

Though not yet approved by the Food and Drug Authority (FDA), this is a major innovation for Africa in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
